Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.The work model for the role is: remote #LI-RemoteThis role is contributing to the Motion division in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for:Performing entry level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performs analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards.Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

Qualifications for the role

Associate degree in technical field or High school diploma/GED and 1 year of relevant experience required. Previous knowledge or experience in installing, testing, repairing or troubleshooting AC/DC drive systems and their associated controls. Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, technical manuals, and technical specifications. Ability to travel up to 80% of the time. Maintain a valid driver’s license. Willing to provide technical support during evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions; performs work related travel; and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, occasionally loud. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit; use hands to manipulate and control tools, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and taste or smell. Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the United States.
