Located adjacent to Darling Harbour in Sydney's Central Business District, Hyatt Regency Sydney is a haven of relaxation for the business or leisure traveller. As Sydney's largest premium hotel, the hotel boasts 878 guestrooms, multiple dining experiences and event spaces. The hotel offers more than 3,700 sq m of sleek meeting and event space in the heart of the city featuring two spacious ballrooms with views of Darling Harbour and 22 additional meeting rooms.
About the Role:
As our Associate Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities, primarily within the Asian market. This individual will work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
This role is also open to remote-working candidates based in Melbourne.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a tailored sales strategy to increase market share and revenue across the diverse and dynamic Asia market, with a specific focus on high-growth regions (e.g., India, Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan etc.).Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional clients, distributors, and partners in Asia using a variety of communication channels.Manage strong relationships with senior decision-makers from key leisure, PCO's, corporate accounts and travel agents, showing a strong understanding of the Asian market. As well as internal stakeholders, and other market and industry sources.To measure and evaluate the effectiveness of acquisition activities and to re-evaluate programs on an ongoing basis so as to exceed the objectives as outlined in the Annual Business Plan.Assist in the preparation of reports for the Sales department.Observe and implement market trends and related information.Responsibilities focused on creating and implementing a dedicated Sales strategy to optimise event space utilisation and drive revenue growth.Assist with the leadership and coaching of the Sales team.Travel as required.To be Successful:
