We are looking for an energetic and experienced Associate Director of Financial Aid who works closely with the Director of Financial Aid and is responsible for the direct management, training and development of the Financial Aid Advisors for new enrollments and the repackaging of continuing students. The position helps to ensure Joyce University is not only compliant in meeting all federal, state, and other oversight agencies’ requirements, but is proactive, responsive, and collaborative in managing the Financial Aid office responsibilities. This position is located on our Draper, Utah campus, but may consider remote for highly experienced and qualified candidates.

Partners with the Director of Financial Aid and other Associate Directors of Financial Aid to ensure a high level of customer service through staff training, effective assessment and utilization of technology, process and policy development, and proactive communication Oversees and coaches Financial Aid Advisors in guiding students and families through all stages of enrollment via interpersonal advising, publications, workshops and correspondence with a keen eye toward constituent service Leads, trains, supervises and provides guidance on student financial aid counseling and financial aid processing Manages team members KPI’s, weekly pacing, coaching, and mentoring including weekly one on one’s. Detects and solves student packaging and processing issues using good insight, judgment and innovative, creative thinking Provides new and ongoing training for team members Conducts weekly team meetings and trainings Works closely and collaborates with all Enrollment Services departments including Admissions, Student Accounts, Registrar and Student Services for each entering cohort Completes internal and external Financial Aid reports, as necessary Participates in the maintenance, revision and updating of institutional policies and procedures Exemplifies leadership anchored in integrity, discipline, communication and structure, with a focus on planning and completing all projects and initiatives timely and with quality Develops, delivers and participates in concurrent training of compliance and financial aid teams and maintains leading edge knowledge of all Title IV compliance matters Represents the institution at conferences and other events involving compliance and financial aid Develops and sustains healthy and robust regulatory compliance within financial aid office and the entire institution, as applicable Assists in preparation for campus regulatory visits and audits to achieve successful outcomes Other duties as assigned RequirementsWhat you’ve accomplished:
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Higher Education Financial Aid Packaging and Compliance; for-profit college preferred
Preferred Experience
5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership of a comprehensive institutional financial aid/compliance program, including but not limited to the ability to interpret federal and state regulations and laws

Salary Description $66,000 to $75,000 Annually
