Join Our Team: Associate Director, Indirect Tax

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, Indirect Tax to join our Corporate Finance Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an international, fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving innovation and efficiency in tax compliance and strategy.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid) or Rotterdam, the Netherlands (hybrid)

What You’ll Do:

As a leader within our tax team, you will play a crucial role in shaping Solenis’ indirect tax policies and compliance framework. Your key responsibilities include:

Strategic Tax Leadership: Develop and implement company-wide indirect tax policies and objectives to ensure compliance and optimization.

Legislative Impact Assessment: Monitor indirect tax policy developments, assess their impact, and provide strategic direction to the business.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Finance, IT, Supply Chain, SSC) and external stakeholders (auditors, consultants) to drive effective tax strategies.

Compliance & Optimization: Review and enhance adherence to indirect tax requirements, leading initiatives to improve compliance and financial efficiency.

Stakeholder Training & Support: Educate and mentor teams on indirect tax rules to enhance compliance and optimize tax positions.

Technology & Automation: Support the transition to automated VAT compliance processes, working with third-party providers and internal teams.

Indirect Tax Controversy Management: Lead tax audits and controversy resolution for selected business units and geographies.

What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a post-graduate tax certification is preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally a mix of in-house and Big 4 consulting experience.

Solid understanding of finance compliance areas such as statutory accounting and corporate tax compliance.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex tax regulations.

Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, global environment.
