Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$118,500 - $173,800

Position Brand Description:

The Associate Director position has overall responsibility for supervision, performance, and development of direct-reporting employees.  Team consists of 6-10 technical associates at R4-level or below.  Manages and monitors business results, compliance, productivity improvement, and overall customer service for the team.

This role will provide team leadership in technology development, knowledge sharing, mentoring of junior talent, as well as provide technical leadership to sites, support major project delivery, support key initiatives led by the process owners, and network with internal/external benchmarking communities. 

LTC Utilities Automation delivers and supports automation solutions for business partners in the Central Utilities group.  This support includes maintenance and enhancement of existing automation software; design and implementation of automation software for new projects; engagement in the design of new automation strategies; and system management activities, as well as developing process improvements and optimization of the operations through business process improvements.

The Central Utilities group provides a reliable supply of utilities to the Lilly Technology Center campus in Indianapolis to enable the manufacturing of life-saving and life-sustaining medicines.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Process Automation/Control Discipline and Technical Leadership-Partner with colleagues to lead discipline through solution assessment, design, development, and implementation. Provide appropriate project execution support, while maintaining computer system validation in a state of inspection readiness.  Develop and maintain the Utilities Automation Strategy.Optimize and Control- Apply process automation solutions to meet site, network, and business unit objectives for productivity, quality, and cost. People - Lead HR processes, including PM, compensation management, reward and recognition, talent assessment, promotion, and succession management; mentor and develop team members; Support diversity initiatives; Encourage collaboration and shared learning.Safety-Live the safety culture and drive compliance in daily work through continuous improvement activities and accountability of the team.Operational/Technical Excellence-Represent Utilities to the global automation community.  Monitor and report performance metrics for Automation. Advise and advocate as member of Utilities Lead team.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related science fieldSupervisory experience and demonstrated leadershipMinimum 3 years’ experience with process automation systems and platforms including automation project delivery
