The Enterprise Data organization has developed an integrated and intuitive data and analytics platform. This platform enables Lilly team members to quickly ingest, transform, consume, and analyze data sets in statistical environments, advanced analytics environments, and BI/visualization tools. Contributors can easily ingest, prepare, and analyze new data sets (cleanse, enhance, publish) for others to utilize. 

What you will be doing:

As the Associate Director of the Enterprise Data Operations team, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring a team of data operations professionals. This role involves overseeing team performance, managing resource allocation, and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure that all operational goals and service delivery expectations are met. You will also handle escalation management and drive employee engagement initiatives.

This is a leadership role that requires strong people management skills, the ability to motivate and develop teams, and a focus on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data operations professionals, providing coaching and guidance to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development by providing growth opportunities and training.Support the team’s development through regular feedback, performance reviews, and individual career growth plans.Set clear performance expectations for the team, providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.Should be able to effeciently manage the 24/7 team working in the Data Operations.Monitor individual and team performance to ensure that operational goals are met consistently.Address performance issues promptly and constructively, working with individuals to improve performance when needed.Should be able to effectively manage the shift rosters ,weekend shifts and BCP planning.Manage team capacity and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency and that all tasks and service delivery expectations are met.Ensure the right mix of skills and resources are available to support business needs and service delivery.Optimize the team structure and workload distribution to improve productivity and ensure work-life balance for all team members. Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment that encourages collaboration and high morale.Foster strong team dynamics, promoting a sense of ownership, accountability, and shared purpose within the group.Implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention, while aligning with organizational values and culture.Serve as a point of escalation for any issues related to team performance, service delivery, or customer concerns.Lead the resolution of escalated incidents and issues, ensuring that they are managed efficiently and effectively.Communicate and collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, and other teams to resolve complex operational challenges.

Qualifications/ Skills:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Information Technology or related field.12+ years of work experiences including Information Technology experience in multiple technical areas and roles.3-5+ years of experience in team management or people leadership roles, preferably in data operations or a related IT function.Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and managing performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Strong experience in resource allocation, workload management, and ensuring team efficiency.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and coach individuals at all levels.Ability to manage conflict, handle escalations, and make critical decisions to ensure operational success.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Experience with performance management tools and techniques.Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and systems.
