**Job Description**
The Assistant/Associate Director, Undergraduate Career Services, is responsible for supporting career advising for over 2400 undergraduates and potential future minors in an environment where stakeholders in Career Support extend beyond the undergraduates to parents as well.
Duties include:
Work with Carroll School undergraduates in a career coaching capacity.
Forge relationships with employers working in fields traditionally not engaged in a hiring capacity with BC undergraduates to expand career opportunities/awareness for students
Develop and promote career options for students that expand and deepen their exposure to a wider range of career fields
Develop Consulting projects/Micro Internships for our students with a particular focus on the sophomore summer experience
Work with our alumni mentors to broaden engagement opportunities with students beyond serving as Career Accelerator experts, ie, job search coaches, industry contacts, panelists etc.
Serve as one of the Instructors for the existing Career Accelerator Course
To achieve the five dimensions to the position outlined above, specific tasks would include, but not be limited to the following activities:
Assist seniors who are without jobs with their job search/help develop new and innovative strategies to assist students securing employment
Develop Consulting projects/Micro Internships for our students
Identify alumni coaches to serve as volunteers who partner with our students and assist the students in their job search
Assist employers/alumni identify undergraduate candidates for jobs and internships
Expand and update alumni contacts on our digital contact databases
Implement and utilize technology to maintain engagement with interested employers
Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:
· Assistant Director - $63,800 - $79,750; 0-5 years of professional career experience
· Associate Director - $70,520 - $88,150; 5+ years of professional career experience
**Requirements**
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus 3 to 5 years of professional experience, preferably in sales/bus dev/career coaching/ college recruiting
Proactive project manager. Able to multitask, and suggest innovative and improved processes
Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently
Experience working in an environment with tangible quotas with demonstrated success of achieving desired outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to respecting and valuing the importance of diversity
