An amazing number, but we’re always looking for new ways to continue making a difference, and new people to make a difference with. **The opportunity** Join Teva as an **Associate Director, Patent** to play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing IP strategies for our generic products in the US market. Reporting to the Senior Director, Patent, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, and portfolio management, to ensure the successful development and commercialization of Teva’s groundbreaking generic solutions. **How you’ll spend your day** + Partnering with R&D associates to create innovative design-around formulations. + Working with external counsel to develop robust invalidity positions for key patents. + Crafting patent certification strategies and drafting detailed Notice letters and statements. + Driving exclusivity strategies, such as labeling carve-outs. + Coordinating globally on critical IP matters, including manufacturing site, device, and API considerations. + Collaborating with Regulatory Affairs to prepare ANDA submissions, patent amendments, and responses to Information Requests (IR) and Complete Response Letters (CRL). + Supporting the Portfolio Team with IP landscapes and strategic launch scenarios. + Managing external opinion counsel to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions on time. **Your experience and qualifications** + A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school (an advanced degree in a relevant science is a plus). + Admission to practice law in New Jersey or eligibility for an in-house limited license. + 5-7 years of prior patent experience, with a preference for expertise in small molecule pharmaceuticals. + Prior in-house patent experience is highly desirable. + Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization. + Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. + Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Willingness to travel up to 10%, including international trips, as needed. **Enjoy a more rewarding choice** We offer a competitive benefits package, including: + Comprehensive Health Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage starting on the first day of employment, providing the employee enrolls. + Retirement Savings: 401(k) with employer match, up to 6% and an annual 3.75% Defined Contribution to the 401k plan. + Time Off: Paid Time Off including vacation, sick/safe time, caretaker time, 11 paid Holidays and 1 paid floating holidays. + Posting a new req-2024 + Life and Disability Protection: Company paid Life and Disability insurance. + Additional benefits include, but not limited to, Employee Assistance Program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Tuition Assistance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Account, Life Style Spending Account, Volunteer Time Off, Paid Parental Leave, if eligible , Family Building Benefits, Virtual Physical Therapy, Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity Insurances, Identity Theft Protection, Legal Plan, Voluntary Life Insurance and Long Term Disability and more. **Already Working @TEVA?** If you are a current Teva employee, please apply using the internal career site available on "Employee Central".
