Associate Director, Paid Search

Job Description

Overview:

The Paid Search Associate Director provides functional management and leadership to a team of experienced Paid Search marketers to ensure best-in-class strategy and execution as well as team growth. Search Associate Directors oversee multi-brand business units, partnering closely with the broader leadership team to establish client-specific strategic vision. The goal for this role is to deeply understand the needs of the client and their teams and foster an environment to accomplish both.


Our paid search team works across a diverse range of sectors on some of the largest and most dynamic clients within the agency. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader and paid search expert who is keen to submerge themselves into overseeing several projects. 

The ideal candidate must have an expert understanding of the search landscape buying platforms and new/evolving product offerings, with expertise in campaign implementation, management, analysis and optimization. Proven enterprise account management and team leadership experience is essential with healthcare industry knowledge strongly preferred.  
 
 

Qualifications

Role Objectives: 

Develop, manage, and monitor paid search strategies for a portfolio of accountsLead team of paid search specialists in management of accounts, ensuring campaigns are delivering according to clients’ performance objectivesKey point of escalation across assigned brands, creatively problem-solving to address client needs, questions, or challenges with approach-based solutionsBuilds trusting relationships with client counterparts, viewed as strategic Search expertEvolve client understanding by educating on Search behavior, the channel’s role in the marketing mix, and how it contributes to the overall brand objectivesTakes initiative and shows accountability for team’s work, proactively establishing areas of focus, identifying tactical knowledge gaps and creating resources to drive efficiency of workflow and elevate deliverable qualityCreate a culture of transparency, comradery and accomplishment within their teamEnsure performance is easily and regularly reviewed, driving adoption of performance-driven optimization best practices at scale and identifying pilot opportunities to innovateFacilitate cross-departmental collaboration by working closely with other team members to craft synergistic tactical media plans and reporting.Lead annual reviews, hold career-centric 1:1s and Catch-Ups with Managers, supporting dialogue with Sr. AssociatesOversee process development and ensure best practices are in place to improve team’s operational efficiency and ensure quality controlMotivate, lead, and manage internal team to establish a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, advertising, business, or equivalent  5+ years of account management experience in Paid Search3+ years of successful team management experience Proven track record of managing portfolio of search initiatives for an enterprise clientExceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a hybrid environmentMust be comfortable presenting ideas to senior level stakeholdersStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insightsResourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel  Ability to multi-task and manage one’s time, demonstrating personal organization and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detailAbility to take and/or set initial direction, proactively provide proposed solutions and status updatesExperience creating processes and efficiencies within a team or organizationExhibits integrity, trust and investment in self-developmentFirm understanding of connection between Search and the broader media mix

Compensation Range:  $91,000 - $144,000 annually.  This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
