For more information, visit our Careers page.  The Role in Brief: Associate Director, Moon Shot for Social and Economic Mobility EAB is actively expanding its portfolio of service and technology solutions. We are looking for an Associate Director to manage partners within our Moon Shot initiative, which aims to implement practices that eliminate disparities in student outcomes such as retention, graduation, time to degree, and improving economic mobility, when analyzed by socioeconomic status (Pell), race/ethnicity, first-generation status, and gender. This role involves working closely with our Student Success technology portfolio. The Associate Director will work with individual "vanguard" institutions or regional ecosystems to implement the following: Institution-wide student success best practices that improve outcomes for all students Equity-mindedness training Leadership development and change-management coaching Student success technology The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to promoting equity in student success and educational environments, robust facilitation, writing, and communication skills, and experience in managing complex projects. The Associate Director will report to the Moon Shot Principal Consultant. This position may be based in Washington, D.C. or Richmond, VA. Primary Responsibilities: Partner Management Oversee a set of Moon Shot schools (~10 institutions) as the lead consultant. Manage all Moon Shot partnerships and activities in assigned institutions, supporting leadership and best practice teams, and providing technical support as needed. Develop and coordinate all Moon Shot-specific activities and related project plans to achieve Moon Shot objectives. This includes data metric alignment and assessment, student success best practice implementation, change management, and equity leadership trainings. Set agendas for and facilitate discussions, both virtual and onsite, including executive-level meetings focused on the Moon Shot initiative. Incorporate partners in cross-ecosystem supported events and activities, such as webinars, communities of practices, summits, and learning cohorts. Support other student success consulting engagements as needed Program Support In partnership with the other members of the Moon Shot Consulting team (and the broader Partner Success team at EAB): Iterate on current program design to incorporate new best practices, change management principles, inclusion of research practices, etc. Support cross Moon Shot region partner experiences whether through presentations or project management. For example: leading a webinar across all Moon Shot institutions. Collaborate with key EAB stakeholders including but not limited to: Navigate/Starfish Strategic Leaders, Transfer Portal and Edify Consultants, EAB Principals, Research Strategic Leaders, College Greenlight Consultants, Account Management, Sales team members. Areas of collaboration can include: Data governance and data definitions for institutions; Coordination of implementation timelines across institutions as needed to ensure achievement of shared goals; Identification of gaps in our equity needs; Strategies and priorities related to the institution and platforms; Regular updates and shared notes about the institution. Basic Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree Willingness to travel at most 30% (valid Driver’s License) 5+ years of professional experience Demonstrates at least three of the following: Basic data analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects and relationships Possess intellectual curiosity, persistence and creativity in problem solving Team-oriented but also highly self-sufficient and self-motivated Clear writing skills for executive audiences Strong verbal presentation and facilitation skills Ability to design and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders Ability to meet deadlines and independence in time management Ideal Qualifications:  Experience working in higher education  Demonstrates at least three of the following: Interest and experience in higher education student success and workforce development, ideally with equity lens Client management and service experience Ability to create and present compelling stories validated with data and proven best practice research Experience working with data sets, especially in an education or business setting Fluency with Excel, Tableau, or other data analysis tools Commitment to valuing diversity, practicing inclusive behaviors, and contributing to an equitable working and continual learning environment in support of EAB's DE&I Promise If you’ve reached this section of the job description and are unsure of whether to apply, please do! Compensation: The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $66,500 - 90,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role. This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
