As a Global Materials Planning Lead for Cell Therapy, you will drive the strategic planning and execution of our innovative cell therapy products across the global supply chain. You will combine your expertise in supply chain management with a passion for making a difference in patients' lives.
The Global Materials Planning Lead will plan direct, QC testing, and development materials across multiple Cell Therapy sites. You will oversee all materials planning processes to support on-time delivery to manufacturing, testing, and development actives. You will report to the Senior Director, Cell Therapy Global Planning and will lead material planners in ensuring timely and accurate supply signals to our vendors. You will be based in Santa Monica, CA or Los Angeles (Tarzana), CA or Gaithersburg, MD with at least three days per week onsite.
Responsibilities:
Be the responsible planning lead for globally managed raw materials that serve our Cell Therapy sites. Coordinate with the buyers to ensure on-time order placement and receipt.
Set up and mature global materials planning processes and systems across manufacturing sites, including material assumptions and inventory policies.
Develop people, process and systems capabilities for raw materials planning using SAP
Execute and lead periodic material planning cycle standard work and tools in alignment with S&OP
Develop metrics and report on raw material inventory, supply projections, scrap, and expiry across the network
Manage and report materials and supplier risks with mitigation plans
Support supplier mid-term and long-range forecasting with Material Buyers
Collaborate with Global Planning on change management from introduction of new materials, second suppliers and tech transfers.
Lead process improvements in supply chain.
Collaborate with Global Buyers and Site supply chain on Supply Strategies, Vendor health, and Quality events. Support escalations and resolutions for assigned materials.
Analyze trends to develop and implement materials planning process improvements
Support inventory management according to the network strategy across multiple warehouses
Support Site planning activities as needed.
Education & Experience:
Minimum supply chain experience of 10+ years with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent experience or 8+ years with MS/MA or MBA
Knowledgeable with cGxP and regulatory and compliance requirements in regulated industry.
Pharmaceutical and/or Cell therapy experience
High proficiency in ERP (SAP preferred) and Planning Systems
Experience with advanced Excel functions and data analysis is beneficial
Experience managing a team of direct reports
Preferred
CPIM or CSCM Certification or equivalent.
Previous experience in end-end value chain planning
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Lean certification.
Analytical tool such as SMART sheet, Power BI, and Tableau
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $117,294 to $175,941. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
