Position Summary

The Finance Resource Management role is an Associate Director role that collaborates with Global Program Teams (GPT) and other support functions.  The Associate Director serves as the day-to-day contact for all financial needs of the assigned assets and will be primarily responsible for the financial management of late phase assets within Hematology & Cell Therapy. The candidate is expected to drive financial close/projection and governance support for assigned assets.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Financial support of subset of late phase assets including portfolio forecasting and governance supportDevelop business cases, cost plans and financial insights to assist senior leadership in making sound investment decisionsSupport monthly/quarterly accounting review and financial close for ongoing studiesResponsible to achieve financial goals and elevate issues proactively, timely, and transparently Support integration of multiple platforms/systems and processes and lead analytical improvementsFinancial support and management of business development and cost sharing collaborations with other pharmaceutical partners, as applicable Contribute to creation of a high-performance culture through effective leadership and communication with key stakeholders in the cross-functional organization Articulate a vision for the finance function and communicate a supporting strategy with clarity, force and impact to align people, critical resources, management and stakeholdersSupport and lead process changes that continuously adapt to a dynamic business environmentLearn from experience and apply those learnings to enhance performanceBusiness-partnering with various Project Management, Clinical Operations and Global Program Team members to provide clarity and transparency to the portfolio evolution

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, CPA or MBA preferredMinimum 7-10 years’ experience in finance or accountingPrevious pharmaceutical or related industry experience desirableStrong financial and analytical skills as well as excellent business-partnering abilities requiredStrong working knowledge of R&D Financial, Planning and/or CTMS systems is preferred Effective communication skills, strong oral and written communications a mustThe successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, customer focused and able to make decisions independentlyCollaboration experience, inside and outside of finance is desirableExperience working with multiple levels of management with competing demands on time
