Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Content Strategy, the Associate Director of Content is responsible for implementing content strategy and creating content that celebrates the Temple story, aligns with the division’s framework messages and advances the university’s business objectives. This position plays a key role in shaping strategic and persuasive messaging that moves audiences, spurs pride and compels them to take the following actions\: Enroll; Engage; Give; Advocate.
The Associate Director manages the daily operation of our storytelling process and news center, ensures stories are properly tagged and placed on associated web properties, tracks news center performance and analytics, and oversees SEO optimization of news center content. As well, the role monitors the unit’s content discovery process, maintains a robust pipeline of stories and seeks opportunities to scale content across channels. Grounded in a deep understanding of target audiences and brand alignment, the Associate Director leads the customization of content across campaigns, channels, and media to achieve enrollment, engagement and reputational goals. The Associate Director will also serve as a senior news writer who can be counted on to develop content of institutional importance and called on to review materials and edit for grammar, punctuation, clarity, consistency of style and accuracy. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
* At least 4 years of professional experience.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
