Regeneron is seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader in bioanalytical and biomarker analysis to join the Analytical Chemistry Group, located in Tarrytown, NY. In this role, you will lead a team of scientists in the development of LC-MS/MS based assays for biotherapeutics and biomarkers in biological matrices and support a robust pipeline of novel biotherapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, antibody-drug conjugates (ADC), adeno-associated virus (AAV), siRNA, and other biologics.
A Typical Day in the Role of Associate Director Might Look Like:Lead the development of LC-MS/MS assays for the quantification of biotherapeutics and biomarkers in various biological matrices, such as serum, plasma, and tissues.Utilize experience in technologies including LC-MS, immunoassay, and hybrid assays, and oversee the LC-MS bioanalytical team to support research and pre-clinical studies.Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Research, PK/PD, Toxicology, Bioanalytical Sciences, Clinical Development, etc., and provide analytical expertise to support the pipeline of novel biotherapeutics through robust assay development.Collaborate with external partners and CROs on assay qualification, validation, and transfer.Provide strategic, technical, and regulatory expertise in bioanalytical and biomarker development and implementation.Prepare and review development reports, memos, regulatory submission documents, and peer-reviewed articles for publication.This Role Might Be For You If You:Maintain a broad understanding of bioanalytical and biomarker technologies and their applications in preclinical and clinical development.Enjoy developing and mentoring scientific staff.Build an effective teams through resource planning, project prioritization, goal setting, and performance management.Demonstrate leadership and motivation to contribute effectively in a team environment.This role requires a PhD with over 10 years of proven experience in leading scientific teams and developing LC-MS/MS based assays for biotherapeutics and biomarkers. Strategic, technical, and regulatory expertise in bioanalytical and biomarker development are required. Proficiency with state-of-the-art LC-MS technologies and sample preparation platforms and a strong background in bioanalysis and bioanalytical support for research and pre-clinical studies is preferred. Expertise in immunoassay, cell-based assays, and genomics is a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills a plus.
