Raytheon is seeking a defense industry professional to coordinate business activities and create new opportunities to drive top line growth for the Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) Advanced Technology (AT) organization.  The Associate Director (AD) will lead business creation efforts for the Advanced Electro-Optics product area within the Airborne Spectrum Dominance business unit.  The AD will be responsible for delivering Advanced Electro-Optical new business solutions to customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities.  The AD will be accountable for relationships and interactions with US Government agencies to develop new business, share information, and to immediately resolve issues as required.  As a member of the Requirements and Capabilities team, the AD will work closely with the other Strategic Business Units, Functional Business Areas, Programs and Product Area Directorates, and Requirements & Capabilities Executives.  The AD will ensure collaboration and alignment of all strategies to drive customer satisfaction and will report directly to the Director for Airborne Spectrum Dominance R&C.

What You Will Do

Develop and execute new business creation strategy to achieve Advanced Technology growth targetsCoordinate and execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones that focuses on closing pursuits inside of the current Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Long-Range Plan (LRP)Collaborate internally and with our external partners to plan, develop and execute capture strategies for DoD Customer (Service Program Offices, Resource Sponsors, Warfare Centers, DARPA, SCO, ONR, AFRL, ARL) level pursuitsCoordinate and manage program associated NBI accounts, capture and proposal gate reviews, new business assessment and pipeline reviews, international reps and consultants, and customer engagementsLead by example and provide professional and technical expertise to the R&C team, AT Strategic Business Unit, and applicable customersDomestic travel: up to 30%Possible Work Locations: McKinney, TX or Arlington, VA

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Engineering, or applied science field, and a minimum of 12 years in government, defense, aerospace, or related industry, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experienceCertified Program Manager, Certified Capture Manager or Certified Requirements Manager3+ years of experience operating, testing or procuring highly sensitive technology domain operations, particularly United States Air Force 5th generation fighter, low observable bomber or penetrating ISR platform(s) as a qualified operator, flight test engineer or acquisition specialist in a DoD service component3+ years of experience developing, pursuing or managing defense Science & Technology (S&T) programs within Government or industry via the US National Lab Enterprise (e.g. DARPA, ONR, NRL, AFRL, US Army Labs) with an established network across the government to include DoD Service Program Offices and LabsActive and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret Security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
