Associate Creative Director
**Introduction** IBM Blue Studio is responsible for the sophistication and strategic evolution and expression of the IBM brand and sub-brands across every experience and encounter, internally and externally. We represent and support all IBM businesses horizontally and vertically. Our work crosses nearly every category of output: research and strategy, communications and content development, symbology and systems, digital and physical experiences, tools and training. Our goal is to maintain modernity, tangibility and understanding of the IBM brand in the world. **Your role and responsibilities** Role: The Blue Studio design practice is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Associate Creative Director to oversee a team and broad range of multimedia projects. The Associate Creative Director will strategically lead designs from concept development, directing, refining, and producing into reality. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of and passion for how people interact with and move through branded experiences. Work will include a range of assets and projects, including online, digital, data visualization, print, social, video, and events. Your primary responsibilities will include: • In partnership with Creative Directors, oversee design team’s work. • Lead and co-lead projects from conception, design, through execution. • Assure the team’s deliverables are met, ranging from print to online and multimedia. • Bring abstract concepts to life through typography, illustration, iconography and photography. • Deep understanding of IBM’s business strategies and goals. • Command of IBM brand’s vision, systems, and documentation. • Help advance experience design at IBM. • Contribute to style guides, UI toolkits, and other design documentation, as needed. • Work with team members to establish priority, fidelity and delivery of tasks. • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually. • Speak and present to range of stakeholders. • Ensure quality control and outcomes. **Required technical and professional expertise** Required Experience: • Proven and relevant experience in a digital design position. • Extensive experience directing and leading design teams • Inspiring and motivating a team. • Distinguishing good design from bad, careless from well-conceived and crafted. • Designing experiences across media. • Utilizing knowledge of grids, typography, graphic design, color, layout, iconography, imagery, and design patterns and systems to address ambiguous, complex problems and projects. • Being passionate, confident, empathetic, positive, and approachable. • Attention-to-detail, strong organizational skills, and time management. • Collaboration with others-stakeholders, technical teams, partners, and other associate creative directors. • Handling change with flexibility and ease. • Stakeholder interactions and design advocacy. **Preferred technical and professional experience** Preferred Technical and Professional Experience: • Applications: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (highly proficient), MS Office (.PPT), Github • Motion skills • UI/UX experience as a plus • 3D as a plus • Web standards experience and knowledge as a plus
