We are seeking an Associate Counsel to be responsible, under the guidance of a Senior Corporate Counsel and Corporate Counsel, for providing general legal services and assigned specific projects for the Providence St. Joseph Health ("PSJH") ministries.
The Associate Counsel provides legal advice, consultation, and policy analysis and interpretations of numerous areas of law and policy and conducts research and analysis to provide policy recommendations. Responsibilities also include preparing written opinions and guidance for the executive management teams and other internal clients and drafts and reviewing contracts for the organization, with emphasis on physician and vendor agreements. The Associate Counsel keeps informed of opinions, orders, decisions and developments relating to hospital and physician legal requirements, and other matters of interest, and strives to carry out the essential position accountabilities in a timely manner in response to client needs. The ability to work in a team setting is essential.

Required Qualifications:
J.D. - Degree from an accredited law school, or the equivalent. Min of 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field such as a private law firm, in-house legal setting, or public/regulatory organization. Within 1 year of hire: Admission to one of the following footprint State Bars: WA, OR, CA, AK, TX, NM, MT. Individual may reside outside of these 7 states.Salary Range by Location:
