The Position: The Associate Corporate Counsel, under supervision of the Corporate Counsel, will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiation contracts and other legal documents and providing legal analysis and advice on a broad variety of commercial agreements. Secondarily, as needed, assist in various legal matters, including general corporate matters. Applicant must be familiar with contract language and structure and possess prior experience with commercial contracting. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to distill complex issues clearly and communicate in a clear and concise manner are prerequisites of this position.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
2-5 years of experience as external counsel or in-house attorney, admitted to the bar and in good standing to practice law in TexasMicrosoft Office Suite and editing software, Adobe, DocuSignAbility to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situationsAbility to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teamsExcellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlinesSalesforce experience preferredPhysical Requirements:
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to read documents, computer screens and dataMust be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computerMay occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 poundsMust be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipmentWork Environment:
