The Opportunity

The position is for an Associate Control, Electrical and Instrumentation Lead to be based in the North-West & Yorkshire geography (other locations will be considered) and to help win and deliver projects across the UK.  
You will direct a team of CE&I Engineers in a dynamic environment, providing technical support and mentoring ensuring the team delivers technical excellence. You will be involved in resource management of the team, including sharing resource across the geographies and regions.  You will help to win work and grow our Energy, Water and Resources business; build strong relationships with clients and collaborators, develop the business and win work, manage and produce bids, client submissions and presentations.

This role will involve managing projects, oversee delivery of good quality work on time and within budget, manage client relationships on projects, ensuring projects are delivered within the parameters of the Arup Management System.  You will help influence our clients and stakeholders to ensure that we build a prosperous, low carbon, more equitable future, in line with the Arup values and the UN sustainable development goals.

Is this role right for you?

The successful candidate will hold IEng or CEng Professional Registration status through IET, CIBSE, or other relevant body/ Degree qualified: likely Masters Engineering Degree or equivalent .

We are looking for the following skills and knowledge:

Manage Multidisciplinary projects in a wide variety of sectors (Energy, Water, Resources) and have a detailed knowledge of CDM regulations. Ability producing and interpreting complex or detailed design drawings and documentation. Confident to manage multidisciplinary projects in a wide variety of sectors (Energy, Water, Resources) and have a detailed knowledge of CDM regulations. Specialist knowledge: either developing or developed within at least one specialist area of Electrical and/or Control Systems engineering.   Appreciation of Electrical and/or Control Systems engineering and in particular, design. Knowledge of relevant design tools, techniques and related methods e.g. IT systems, Trimble etc. Proficient in the specification of development work as well as the interpretation and application of results.   Adept with design software as well as other standard products.   

Successful candidate will need an eligible UK Driving license along with holding or being eligible to gain security clearance is advantageous.
