At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer or sponsor a work visa or employment authorization for this position. **Job Summary** Dominion Energy’s Electric Transmission Communications organization is currently seeking an Associate Communications Specialist/Communications Specialist to join our Electric Transmission Communications team! **Associate Communications Specialist:** This position will support the communications team in a variety of capacities, to help communicate the need and benefits of large electric infrastructure projects to internal and external stakeholders using a variety of communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement skills. Responsibilities include effective stakeholder communications and customer service activities. This role will use marketing and customer service skills to communicate to, promote and influence stakeholders regarding electric transmission projects. • The successful candidate will be responsible for directly supporting communication team members to assist with communications to property owners (residential, commercial, industrial, and governmental) and other stakeholders; • Aids in identifying issues and developing communication plans for the appropriate audience; • The person should have the ability to be flexible and handle changing and emerging priorities, should be adept at building rapport with internal and external stakeholders in order to successfully executive communications plans; • This position requires a proficient candidate willing to be flexible in support of various other duties as assigned. Duties include: • Work closely with Communications, Project Managers and Permitting process decision makers to coordinate outreach for upcoming projects • Help schedule and participate in Company-hosted public meetings • Create and assist with the implementation of communications plans • Perform a variety of customer relations/customer service duties to ensure prompt processing of customer requests • Prepare content for website and project dashboards • Coordinate meetings with property owners and team • Assist with the development of collateral such as fact sheets, one-pagers, brochures, etc on pertinent Company topics. **Job Summary Continued** **Communications Specialist:** This position will communicate the need and benefit of large electric infrastructure projects to internal and external stakeholders using a variety of communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement skills. Responsibilities include crafting stakeholder communications (presentations, direct mail, collateral, visuals, digital content, etc) to keep customers and others fully informed on project status and new activities. This role will use marketing and negotiation skills to communicate to, promote and influence stakeholders regarding electric transmission projects. •The successful candidate will be responsible for directly supporting Project Managers and their construction teams to assist with communications to property owners (residential, commercial, industrial, and governmental) and other stakeholders •The position continuously communicates the impacts and benefits of projects to public stakeholders and acts as a liaison between the Dominion Energy construction team and the community. •The person should have the ability to be flexible and handle changing and emerging priorities, should be adept at building rapport with internal and external stakeholders, and should be able to influence communicative outcomes. •This position requires a highly proficient candidate willing to be flexible in support of various other duties as assigned. Specific duties include: •Supporting a variety of electric transmission projects, with a focus on the construction phase of substation and electric transmission lines •Work closely with Construction and Permitting process decision makers to coordinate outreach for upcoming projects •Participate in pre-construction meetings •Create and assist with the implementation of Construction Communications plans •Notify all property owners in writing and verbally of project construction activities/before any significant construction activity occurs on their property •Create digital communications in coordination with internal and third-party vendors to reach targeted audiences to include social media and website mediums •Collaborate with internal partners and/or third-party vendors to identify stakeholders and acquire, update and maintain mailing list and other contact information to reach stakeholders •Coordination of Pre-Construction Community Meetings/Open Houses and update presentations •Meet and interact with property owners as needed to address project concerns •Act as a liaison between project/construction team and community •Prepare content for website and project dashboard •Prepare Construction Update content for internal and external audiences •Participate in pre-construction meetings at the discretion of Project Manager and/or Construction Coordinator, Superintendent, and/or Forestry •Coordinate meetings with property owners and team •Perform a variety of customer relations/customer service duties to ensure prompt processing of customer requests. **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following: **Associate Communication Specialist** - 0-2 years of communications, public relations, and/or related experience **Communications Specialist:** 2-5 years communications, public relations, and/or related experience •Strong communication, writing, editing and interpersonal skills •Excellent research and problem-solving skills •Experience with handling difficult Customer Service situations-diplomacy, tactfulness and negotiation skills •Ability to coordinate fulfillment forms, letters, customer correspondence and other required materials for distribution to various publics •Understanding of some technical/engineering aspects is desirable but not required •Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) •Experience with handling difficult Customer Service situations •Excellent work prioritization and time management skills •While in the field, candidate will be wearing construction safety gear such as: hard hat, steel toe boots, safety vest and glasses while at construction site **Education Requirements** •Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Political Science, Mass Communications or Marketing preferred. •Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education. •Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above. **Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description** **Working Conditions** Office Work Environment 76 -100% Travel Up to 25% **Other Working Conditions** **Test Description** No Testing Required **Export Control** Certain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
