Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to execute commissioning activities in all types of project sizes and complexities in close collaboration with the Senior Commissioning Engineer. Each day, you will execute these activities efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting continuous improvement in project processes, products, and system design.The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation – Energy Industries (PAEN), Excitation business in India. Main stakeholders include customers, project managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional ABB teams.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tPlanning and executing complex technical field assignments, including supervision of erection, installation, commissioning, and system handover.•\tPerforming troubleshooting, testing, and repair of excitation products and associated power electronics and automation systems.•\tIdentifying service business opportunities and contributing to customer satisfaction by delivering quality service.•\tEnsuring compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards of ABB and customer sites.
Qualifications for the role\tBachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) with 3 to 5 years of experience or Diploma with 5 years of experience in power systems and power electronics.\tExperience with excitation systems, PLCs, DC drives, motors, and generator controls and protection.\tStrong troubleshooting skills in electrical and automation systems.\tGood communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.\tWillingness to travel up to 80% (both domestic and international).
