What this job involves: The Lab Services CMMS Planner operates with minimal supervision, primarily responsible for planning work orders in the CMMS system for the in-house Lab Services team across multiple San Diego facilities. This role involves planning equipment service events, conducting walk-downs, maintaining maintenance plans, and managing project timelines, while collaborating with BMS and JLL colleagues to maintain a successful partnership.

What your day-to-day will look like:

Lead recurring planning and scheduling meetings for Lab ServicesAssess and plan incoming work orders dailyConfirm work scope and check for duplicate work ordersSet target completion dates based on backlog, work priority, and parts deliveryIdentify necessary permits, shutdowns, customer contacts, and work dependenciesComplete Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) pre-work as neededConduct field walk-downs and gather missing asset informationConsult with clients on specific parts, work scope, or toolsExamine work order exceptions and make necessary adjustmentsUpdate asset information, spare parts, and job plansCoordinate and collaborate with facilities managementComply with JLL and client policies and proceduresEscort and accompany vendors throughout secured spacesAssist in training for backup of Lab Services dutiesSupport other lab services operations as needed

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

Prior experience working within a laboratory settingFamiliarity with creating and adjusting preventive maintenance plans and proceduresCapacity to manage multiple responsibilities, including scheduling, asset management, and planning coordinationProficiency in using software tools for maintenance planning and data collection

Required Skills and Experience:

Prior experience with a CMMS or similar systems, especially in planning and scheduling work ordersStrong interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of various laboratory systems and equipmentAbility to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers, understanding their goals and work prioritiesCapacity to conduct independent field walk-downs and gather necessary asset dataStrong analytical skills to assess work order exceptions and make necessary adjustmentsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet planning deadlines

Estimated total compensation for this position:

52,000.00 – 66,560.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
