This is a part time, 0.6 FTE position. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at 1212 Deming Way in Middleton, WI.

We are seeking an Associate Chief Medical Information Officer:

Provide clinical leadership in evaluating, implementing, and advancing the diffusion of health information technology at UW Health, with an emphasis on the primary utilization of the Health Link electronic health record.  Specifically seeking an ACMIO with clinical experience within the acute care venue to represent the acute care provider perspective in decisions about technology functionality and usability, ensuring alignment with the tripartite mission.  Offer strategic leadership to enhance physician practice, support operational needs, comply with regulations, and establish a foundation for analytics.

Education:

Minimum – Board Certification in Primary Specialty

Preferred – 

Board Certification in Clinical Informatics or Masters in Health Informatics Epic Certification and maintenance pertinent to role

Work Experience:

Minimum – 

3 years of clinical practice 3 years of medical/health informatics leadership experience

Preferred – Ideal candidate would have minimum of 5 years clinical practice at faculty level.  Experience in leading implementation/optimization of health IT systems across ambulatory and inpatient enterprise at a tertiary/quaternary organization.

Certifications: 

Minimum – MD/DO

Preferred – Board Certification in Clinical Informatics
