Business Data & Analytics (BD&A) is a Corporate Shared Service comprised of the existing data and analytics resources in Predictive Analytics, Enterprise Data Management and Enterprise Analytics, as well as the newly created Enterprise Telematics Team.   

Combining these units into one business technology and business data & analytics organization, provides a clearer line of sight across the P&C division for business decision-making and input to data and analytics investments; while better empowering, enabling and equipping our division-specific analytics teams the ability to outperform their peers.

Our Business Data & Analytics group is looking to hire an Associate Business Analyst to join their team in Cincinnati, OH. This position will operate on a hybrid schedule.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Assists in analyzing business issues and defines requirements to design analytic solutions that align with organizational goals.Participates in collaborating with business stakeholders, project manager and/or project teams to gather information, model systems requirements, and document specifications.Supports the development and implementation of automated system protocols to help reduce manual processes and increase overall operational efficiency.Assists in developing analytic assets and supporting documentation ensuring continuity of analytic assets.Assists in analytic asset review lifecycle ensuring assets are current and meeting strategic business needs as our business grows.Assists in creating end-user documentation and may assist with delivering training to ensure the successful adoption of new systems.May assist in monitoring project milestones, phases, and elements to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Scope of Job/Qualifications: Participates in providing requirements guidance to business stakeholders, project manager and/or project teams. Participates in all phases of the requirements life cycle and collaborates with requirements teams on small to moderately complex programs and projects. May assist in recommending Best Practices and helps introduce new techniques/tools to the BA Practice (including methods/approaches). Develops business knowledge and ability to identify and define business needs, including gaining a foundational understanding of the organization's business and technology operations. May assist in serving as Scrum Master on an agile team, supporting the team through a combination of facilitation and coaching, and helping those outside the team understand how to interact with the team. Will serve as an agile development team member, assisting in the creation and testing of analytic assets. Developing analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decision-making.
