Associate Biomedical Technician

The Biomedical Technician I is responsible for installation, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing and major and minor repairs of medical equipment in assigned areas of the hospital, as well as external/retail clients. The Biomedical Technician I operates sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections, performance tests, and periodic maintenance/repairs of medical equipment. The testing data acquired from said testing is analyzed and may be prepared for reports. Participation in the departmental on call schedule is mandatory.

Required Qualifications: 

Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Associate's Degree - Biomedical Technology or Electronics Technology, military or technical school certificate. 1 year - Experience in repair of biomedical equipment.
