We are seeking an Associate Applications Technology Engineer who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is located in Long Island.
This role has responsibility for the Enterprise Applications including the day-to-day administration, technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, patching, performance and overall health of the enterprise applications to ensure high levels of data availability and reliability of the systems. Respond effectively to the continuing demands for information 24/7 by business clients, contractors, and other areas of IT.
Location: This role is located in Long Island. Candidates in the surrounding areas are preferred. Remote candidates will be considered if willing to travel occasionally.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for the operations and maintenance of critical IT application systems between internal and external stakeholders.
+ Experience with Automation Anywhere or similar software
+ Comply with policies and procedures for the administration of the databases, maintenance and upgrades of application software
+ Work closely with business clients in understanding business needs and ensuring proper performance of transactions within the application infrastructure in support of complex business requirements and processes
+ Work closely with Product Managers and vendors on new systems, enhancements, and upgrades to the application environment
+ Monitor and deploy security patches as required to maintain a secure system; provide support for application & database security and SOX audits to ensure database integrity and user access
+ Create and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, workflows, runbooks, policies and guidelines.
+ Collaborate with the application developers, middleware, infrastructure, security, testing, networking, help desk, on a daily basis to manage and resolve IT operational issues. Perform root cause analysis on production issues as necessary
+ Proactively seek out ways to improve performance and streamline application environments
+ Ensure high levels of availability and reliability of the systems
+ Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing and execution
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience automating or designing IT application workflows or integrations
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience with Windows/Linux Operating System, SQL based databases
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience with installation and configuration of software systems/platforms
+ Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and sound judgement
+ Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, leadership, and employees at all levels
+ Must demonstrate understanding of the systems development lifecycle including testing
+ Must demonstrate solid understanding of business processes
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Technical/software certification such as AWS certification, etc.
+ Graduate degree or MBA
+ ITIL Certification
+ CMMI experience
+ Knowledge of SAP
**Position Details:**
+ Pay Rate / Range:$30-$37.41
