This Associate Actuary position offers a unique opportunity to become a model expert for Traditional Non-Participating, Critical Illness, and Disability Insurance and to lead projects that enhance our understanding of earnings. By ensuring our models align with guidelines and contributing to process improvements, you'll play a key role in supporting our mission to deliver accurate and efficient actuarial solutions. This role provides a platform to build strong product knowledge and a solid foundation in IFRS17, ultimately empowering you to improve results and influence change.
Position Responsibilities:
Serve as the model expert for Non-Par Trad, Critical Illness, and Disability Insurance models.
Guide modelers and ensure compliance with model council guidelines.
Coordinate with system teams during quarter-end processes.
Lead projects investigating earnings drivers and influencing change.
Build and maintain relationships across functions and support various reporting requests.
Required Qualifications:
Actuarial designation (FSA, FCIA) with relevant experience.
Proficiency in Moody’s AXIS, Excel, and SQL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in progressive actuarial roles.
