Intro:
As the largest Capital Markets administration team in Jersey, we are composed of two teams of Administrators and a Client Accounting team. With strong growth across all sectors of our client portfolio, we are expanding to support this continued client demand and are actively recruiting.
We are experts in all aspects of debt capital markets, handling standalone note issuance SPVs, to multi programme issuers, including asset backed securities, synthetic securitisation and structured finance across a variety of jurisdictions. Each of our administration teams manage their own portfolios consisting of both individual clients and large corporate structures. Our client accounting team provide accounting support (bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, tax returns, etc.) on these structures.
This role is to assist with the routine day-to-day accounting of a portfolio of clients in the Capital Markets department, under the direction of a qualified accountant.
Some of the things you will be doing:
Assist with all aspects of the bookkeeping for the portfolio of Capital Market clients administered by CSC within agreed deadlines Maintain accurate records on the accounting software and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of bookkeeping Assist with the production of extended trial balances and a range of financial reports as required Assist with the preparation of management and annual year end accounts as and when directed and to agreed deadlines Assist with the completion of routine audit queries and adhoc tasks as they arise Be responsible and approachable when given tasks by a senior team member Take care of and establish good relationships with teammates and clients Drive personal development using all the resources available at CSC to achieve success Accurately record all time spent on client accounting work for respective clients
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need:
Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent (Bachelor or Master degree) The candidate will be expected to study for a relevant professional accounting qualification (eg. ACCA), which will be supported by CSC. IT proficient with strong excel skills Good written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and committed, in order to combine study while working in a full time role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good numeracy Experience in a similar role would be beneficial.
