Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Multiple Positions Available. Design, develop, test, and support Global Portfolio Solutions’ (GPS) Portfolio Management and Trading applications that are used to manage and trade a variety of asset classes. Write Java based application servers to support a web ui using modern frameworks including Vertx, Spring Boot and Mockito. Design and develop the User Interface of Portfolio Management applications utilizing JavaScript, Angular, NgRx, HTML, and REST on a distributed platform. Set up project scaffolding and bundle new libraries and code using Gradle, Maven, and Google Java formatters. Review code developed by peers and junior team members. Drive design discussions for framework and application development and evaluate and select tools necessary to build, test, and support systems. Provide business and/or analytical support to assigned functional areas of the Firm by conducting strategic and tactical risk analyses. Responsible for every stage of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, including gathering requirements, software design, implementation, testing, release management, and production support. Work closely with business and end users and other technology groups within the Firm to understand business and technical requirements and translate requirements into well-engineered business applications.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related technology field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: utilizing modern development frameworks and databases including Java, Mongo, and Elastic to build enterprise software with complex algorithms and user interaction; building sites that organize the UI modules with reactive state management using NgRx or RxJs; using tools and techniques for automated testing of both front and back-end with Cypress, Mockito, and Mocha; bundling libraries and applications using Gradle and Maven; using one or more software version control technologies, including one of the following: Concurrent Version System (CVS), SVN, or Git; and working with entire SDLC, including interacting with end users and converting user requirements into technical solutions.

Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $121,000 - $187,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
