How you’ll make an impact: Responsible for all aspects of sports play-by-play for Programming Operations. Assist in training sports play-by-play board operators. Schedule broadcasts and monitor game broadcasts for quality control. Responsible for auditioning and loading audio elements prior to broadcasts. Ensure paid commercials are received and executed and promos are played and logged for all broadcasts. Communicate with sports newsroom about game highlights and troubleshoot tech issues with engineers. Assist in scheduling board operators and workstations for play-by-play broadcasts. Responsible for confirming and adding pre-game times to NBA and MLB broadcasts. What you’ll do: Coordinate and monitor day-to-day operations. Schedule play-by-play board ops for shifts and arrange coverage as needed. Develop new coverage procedures to reduce board op shifts. Train sports play-by-play board ops on new methodologies of coverage. Monitor all sports broadcasts and confirm audio and score display is correct on the Sirius, XM, and online platform. Distribute weekly board operator schedule and oversee remote play-by-play operations. Run audio workstations for various live sports game broadcasts. Audition and load all audio elements prior to broadcast. Communicate with the studios for live throws post-broadcast Communicate breaking sports news to Sports Newsroom. Ensure that on-air product is up to broadcast standards; communicate issues internally. Communicate with Program Directors to avoid scheduling conflicts. Distribute weekly remote board op Zoom links. Perform other duties as assigned. What you’ll need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience. 1+ years of experience producing and running an audio board. Flexible schedule with ability to workdays, nights, and weekends. Knowledge of sports, and/or radio industry. Ability to meet tight deadlines and multi-task. Strong and clear communicator. Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to pay attention to details and be organized. Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person. Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects. Previous use of broadcast operation software (Zetta, Prophet, Dalet, NexGen, etc.). General knowledge related to operating studio console and sound equipment. Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Must have legal right to work in the U.S. At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $44,000 to $50,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
