Capital Mrkts Sales & ServiceBased in Toronto, this position supports the FIG Banks Europe + Americas team in the origination and structuring of Financial Institution (Banks) transactions. Coordinates with other products as an integral part of a larger coverage team that maintains strong client relationships. Cross-sells Capital Markets products (e.g. FX / treasury products, Fixed Income, cash management, commodities, Trade Finance products, etc.) to a portfolio of global banks.
Coverage/Relationship Management Support
Provide RM support and junior coverage for North American Banks and North American operations of Foreign Banks
Support bankers on client requests, briefing memos, call reports, Salesforce/Lightning activity and pipeline updating/monitoring
Generating insights from client and market data
Develop knowledge around Markets and DCM product set and support key initiatives and special projects (managing DCM reciprocity databases, new Markets product roll-outs)
Take an active role on prospecting and prequalifying client opportunities.
Product Support and Initiatives
provide support on account/product enquiries that fall outside of client service/operational request.
Play an active role in the management of FIG Banks Deposit/Liquidity Book
Coordination and distribution of client focused marketing material
Support Transaction flow and inquiries from North American Trade Finance clients for bank risk transaction
Work with RMs to support transaction specific business cases for credit requests
Qualifications:
Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Undergraduate degree has academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting with an outstanding academic achievement.
MBA degree preferred.
Knowledge of capital markets, investment banking products and applicable regulations.
Credit analysis experience/ understanding.
Good knowledge of the organizational lending and portfolio management policies and objectives.
Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.
Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
