BlackRock’s Legal & Compliance department (L&C) seeks to protect the firm’s reputation and provide advice to the business focused on ensuring the protection of our clients’ best interests. The department operates in a dynamic environment with the Compliance group focused on understanding evolving business strategy, as well as advising on the impact of regulation to the firm’s business.
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a self-motivated professional to support BlackRock’s Global Conflicts of Interest (COI) program in addition to other compliance programs and oversight activities managed by the Strategic Transaction (ST), COI, and RIA Compliance Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with the day-to-day administration of compliance programs such as, but not limited to, COI, regulatory disclosures, and/or Rule 206(4)-7 annual compliance review execution and delivery. The role will involve working collaboratively with L&C colleagues globally in addition to employees in other BlackRock functions and key business stakeholders.
**The Team**
The ST, COI and RIA Compliance Team has responsibility for compliance due diligence and integration of BlackRock’s strategic transactions, the global COI program, overseeing the compliance programs and disclosures for the firm’s US SEC registered investment advisers, and certain other SEC and non-SEC regulatory and/or client requirements. The team’s activities include, but not limited to, policy and procedure design and testing, gap analyses and identification of compliance program enhancement opportunities, and cross-functional regulatory implementations.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Assist senior team members in the development, updating and execution of compliance programs, research and preparation of regulatory disclosures, and implementation of new regulations.
+ Help administer and/or manage compliance programs/control frameworks relevant to regulatory risks and applicable requirements, including development of policies and procedures and the associated testing program for Rule 206(4)-7 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (Advisers Act).
+ Participate in special projects and strategic transactions, initiatives, and priorities.
**Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of financial services compliance, consulting, legal or regulatory experience.
+ Experience with the Advisers Act preferred, but not required.
+ Strong time management and multi-tasking skills in addition to being able to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to think critically, logically, and analytically.
+ Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
For Princeton, NJ Only the salary range for this position is USD$90,000.00 - USD$120,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
