The Fidelity Workplace Consulting Group includes more than 85 actuaries who provide the full spectrum of actuarial services for retirement and health & welfare benefits. We are a fast-growing business within Fidelity, providing a broad range of services that touch on every area of benefits design, strategy, funding, communication, and delivery. While we focus on working with the Fortune 1000, we also work with Fidelity clients of all sizes.

The Associate Consultant works with Senior Associates, Consultants and Senior Consultants to provide advice to clients regarding their benefit programs with an initial emphasis in defined benefit plans. We work with associates to develop their financial, business, and consultative skills. Career path for candidates range from a pension actuarial focus to a broad client strategy role, advising finance and human resource executives regarding their retirement, health and welfare, and employee communications needs.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Quantitative subject major strongly preferred Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam toward earning an A.S.A. credential Strong writing, presentation, and communications skills Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and willingness to be innovative

The Value You Deliver

Work on annual pension actuarial valuations to determine cash and accounting requirements Support merger and acquisition transactions as they impact corporate benefit programs Help clients efficiently lead their employee benefits programs from a financial, compliance, and communications perspective Develop custom micro sites for a wide range of corporate compensation and benefits needs

The base salary range for this position is $64,000-$121,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
