Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Pricing and Promotion
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Pricing and Promotion is a senior leadership role focused on delivering best-in-class pricing and promotions process execution, build capabilities to drive efficiencies and inform fact-based decision making, influence strategic direction of pricing, promotions, and credit functions, leverage analytics to drive actionable insight generation translating into favorable financial outcomes. The AVP will lead and develop a team of high performing individuals by providing direction and engage with the team to continuously improve and innovate. This individual will be responsible for staying current on industry trends and assessing viability of options for Pricing and Promotions.
Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to influence, develop, and implement global pricing and promotions strategy
Develop decision tools and capabilities to drive insights that lead to margin optimization
Monitor measure performance of pricing and promotions actions
Analyze business problems to identify alternative courses of action through reporting and analysis
Develops and maintains relationships to influence strategic and business decisions
Leads and develops a high performing team to ensure best practices are implemented and followed, plays an active role in providing thought leadership to improve outcomes
Communicates, engages, and trains partners to ensure appropriate insights and industry trends and approaches are understood
Proactively identifies risks/opportunities in the business by analyzing trends and forming hypothesis
Partners with the Technology to influence technology roadmap and drive business readiness towards technology changes
Collaborate at a global organization level to drive conversations around capabilities that can be stood up in an offshore model
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
A bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, Retail Management, or a related field is required.
Advanced degrees or certifications in Analytics are preferred
Ability to think strategically in developing and executing pricing strategies aligned with overall business objectives specific to the Retail industry.
Strong leadership skills for guiding and managing a team, setting clear performance goals, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment in the context of pricing function.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision making
Solid understanding of financial metrics in the context of pricing and promotion.
Customer and category knowledge is an advantage
Experience with statistical modeling and business analytics and ability to work with Python, Teradata, PowerBI, and GCP
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) used for managing pricing and promotion, including inventory management and financials.
