Job Title: Assistant to the Director of the School of Public and Global Affairs Campus: Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck, NJ Department: School of Public and Global Affairs-Metro Hiring Manager: Peter Woolley Hiring Manager Title: Director, School of Public and Global Affairs College: No Response Position Type: Professional Administrative Grade: 25 FLSA: Exempt Faculty Rank: Salary: Commensurate with Experience Status: Full-Time Months Worked: 12 Month Job Summary: The Assistant to the Director of the School of Public and Global Affairs reports to the Director, School of Public and Global Affairs and assists the Director in the administration of the School at the various on-campus and off-campus venues, to include evening and weekend hours.  Responsibilities include: student recruitment; advising and registration; assisting with course and faculty scheduling; recruiting and advising students at off-campus sites; assistance with maintaining current partnerships; and supervising student staff.  The incumbent works closely with staff advisors and coordinators and interacts with faculty and various off-campus partners and sponsors, as well as a diverse student population.    Required Qualifications: 1.      Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferrably in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Public Policy.  Master’s degree is preferred. 2.      A minimum of three to five years administrative or management experience. 3.      Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, problem solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse spectrum of people.   4.      Experience with computerized systems for data management, spreadsheet and word processing applications such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel preferred  5.      Self-directive and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision. 6.      Valid driver’s license and accessibility to transportation for travel to off-campus locations and the Florham and Metropolitan Campuses.   7.      Willing to plan a flexible schedule and able to work regular evening hours and occasional Saturdays, and travel to various campuses and off campus sites.   8.      Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.  Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.    Preferred Qualifications: Hours Worked 35 Posting Date: 06/24/2024 Special Instructions to Applicants: Application Types Accepted: Application for Employment Supplemental Questions
