MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To perform maintenance on building and equipment and ensure that assets are upheld to their original state.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Perform requested technical jobs within the Hospital   Identify and control risk in the technical environment within the Hospital Coordinate and monitor work done by on-site contractors within the Hospital  Perform office administration duties within the Technical Department Build and maintain stakeholder relations and client service within Technical Department

Lead and manage the people in the Technical team (where applicable)

Manage and control department budgets / finances (where applicable)

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

NQF level 6 qualification in the engineering field with a major focus on electrical, mechanical or chemical disciplines, with  the following subjects (thermodynamics; electro engineering)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

6 years’ relevant post graduate experience

In case of internal promotions only:

10 years relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years hospital experience and passed MCC oral by General Manager Technical Operations

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Driver�s license Experience in fault- finding/analysis Experience in report writing Experience in working in a team Financial and budgeting principles General experience in building maintenance Microsoft suite (excel, word, outlook) Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant regulatory requirements
