Assistant Specialist, Store Communications

Company Description

Job Description 

The Store Operations team is the Global Home Office (GHO) support for store associates and communications in Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids, Hollister and Gilly Hicks stores worldwide. The Store Communications team is responsible for acting as a catalyst between the global field and all other GHO departments, delivering quality and effective communication tools and resources to drive increased field execution and engagement. Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and evolving communications strategies working closely with various teams and functions to ensure our global associates, management, and leadership have the content, information, and knowledge they need, when they need it.

This position assists in the accurate and streamlined delivery of store communication to store associates. This role is responsible for the organization and ongoing evolution of store communication delivery and the ability for store associates to execute business critical activities in a timely and effective manner. This role executes this through our digital Communication Platform(s) ensuring applicable reporting, documents and tasks get to the right groups at the right time.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies to enhance information flow and engage store associatesOwn and maintain the internal stores calendar, ensuring accurate scheduling of tasks and communications, and effective deadline managementMaintain and update files on the communication platform(s) to ensure current and relevant documents are organized for easy accessManage target audience groups within the communication platform(s) to ensure precise communication distributionCoordinate task distribution to stores through the platform(s), ensuring timely execution and monitoring progressOrganize and conduct surveys for feedback collection from storesCollaborate with stakeholders to analyze survey data and derive actionable insights for continuous improvementMonitor and report on communication initiative effectiveness, recommending adjustments as neededProvide training and guidance to store associates on communication tools and platformsStay informed about communication and retail operations best practices to suggest innovative approaches

What Do You Need To Bring? 

Bachelor’s degree requiredAbility to adapt in a fast paced, ever changing, and collaborative team environmentAbility to track and react quickly to details from multiple partners dailyStrong verbal and written communication skillsOrganized, self-starter and detail-orientedIntermediate computer skills within Adobe and Microsoft Office are preferredPrior store and/or retail experience is preferred
