Utilizes TEAM system for P&D and dock operations, as well as Trailer Utilization Report to maximize resource capabilities
Prepares and compiles daily, weekly, monthly production and service records and measure conformance to terminal objectives
Maintains excellent communication with external and internal customersReceives constructive criticism and praise in a business-like fashion and maintain a professional, positive attitude
Recruits, qualifies, interviews, hires, trains, evaluates and develops Service Center personnelManages the schedules, workload, payroll and performance for all direct reports
Inspects terminal facility and conformance to prescribed standards of safety and cleanliness
Handles employee complaints and grievances as they arise
Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and company policies
Works closely with Transportation Coordinator in the planning and implementation of transportation schedules
Investigates, reports and initiates corrective actions for accidents, job related injuries and employee discrepanciesUnderstands and complies with Dayton Freight’s safety practices including DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulationsResponsible for effective, consistent, communications at the highest level possible, as well as for facilitating our Open Door Policy

Assistant Service Center Managers direct and coordinate all terminal operations and service activities necessary to achieve maximum performance and profit objectives in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Develops methods and procedures for the most efficient and economical routing and movement of customers freight in an error-free mannerUtilizes TEAM system for P&D and dock operations, as well as Trailer Utilization Report to maximize resource capabilities
