Job Title: Assistant Safety Coordinator\n

Reports To: Safety Coordinator\n

FLSA Status: Exempt\n
\n

Summary responsible for supporting the Safety Coordinator in maintaining a safe working environment by conducting routine safety inspections, assisting with employee safety training, tracking safety data, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and regulations, all under the guidance of the Safety Coordinator.\n
\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n
\n\nPerform regular safety inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.\nAssist in developing and delivering safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientations, refresher courses, and specific job-related safety training\nAssist in investigating workplace accidents and near misses, gathering information, identifying root causes, and recommending preventative measures.\nAssist in maintaining safety records and documentation, including incident reports, inspection reports, training attendance logs, and safety statistics.\nEnsure adherence to all applicable safety regulations and company safety policies.\nAssist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans, ensuring employees are familiar with procedure\n\n

Required Skills and Qualifications\n\nBasic understanding of occupational safety and health principles, regulations, and best practices. \nAbility to clearly communicate safety information to employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing. \nMeticulous ability to identify potential hazards and accurately document safety concerns. \nEfficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize safety-related activities. \nAnalyze safety incidents, identify root causes, and propose solutions. \nCollaborate effectively with other departments to promote a comprehensive safety program. \nValid drivers License required\nBasic knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\n\n

Education and Experience\n\nHigh school diploma required.\nPrior experience in a safety role or related field is beneficial. \nBasic knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.\n\n
