Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will work closely with the Resident Engineer to oversee and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring compliance with project specifications and local regulationsReview and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentsConduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on project progressCollaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelinesMonitor and report on project budgets, schedules, and quality control measuresEnsure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations on construction sitesParticipate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clientsAssist in the preparation of change orders, contract modifications, and other project documentationContribute to the development and implementation of sustainable construction practicesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution3-5 years of experience in civil engineering projects, with a focus on construction site supervisionProfessional Engineer (PE) certification preferredProficiency in civil engineering software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3DStrong mathematical and analytical skills for solving complex engineering problemsExcellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesTechnical report writing skills and attention to detailIn-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practicesFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu DhabiUnderstanding of sustainable construction practices and their implementationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirementsWillingness to work on-site and travel to various project locations as neededAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
