Our client, a leading Specialist Contractor with over £50 million turnover, is urgently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in London. As a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will support the Quantity Surveying team in the management of project costs, ensuring projects are completed within the budget, and provide valuable assistance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial estimates to final accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Quantity Surveyor to gain practical experience and develop their skills in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets including assisting in analysing tender documents and preparing tender submissions.
Monitor and report on project costs against the budget and assist in preparing interim valuations and payment applications.
Support the team in managing contractual relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Support the preparation of tender documents for suppliers and subcontractors.
Participate in project meetings and assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation.
Support in the preparation of final accounts and project close-out reports.
Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
1+ years' experience within the construction industry.
Proficient with QS software and tools.
Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
