The role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Your role will include provide a project management and engineering function to deliver Naval Base projects to meet safety, time,
quality, performance, and cost targets.
Day-to-day, you’ll compile Project Management Plans (PMPs) from agreed Work Package Scopes on multiple Vessel Systems and disciplines.
Assist the Naval Base Projects Programme Manager in maximising the utilisation and the efficiency of all the Project Management resource. Ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company’s cost, time and quality requirements. Ensure that maintenance plans are developed and agreed as the work package evolves. Attend and participate in start-up and progress meetings as required during the Project lifecycle. Ensure that all project work packages are captured, approved, and implemented within PEPS. Liaise closely with other departments and MoD customers (Internal and External) as required to deliver required outputs.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week is based at Faslane HMNB, Monday – Thursday 07:15 – 16.45
Essential experience of the Assistant Project Manager
Experience in Project Planning and Project Risk Management techniques in a construction environment Working knowledge of Legislative and regulatory standards Knowledge of Process Improvement techniques Experience working with Business Processes, Procurement processes and Business Applications
Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager
HNC in Engineering or equivalent

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
