Role description:
Reporting to Area Manager, responsible for the coordination and project management of delivering the package of
work assigned.
Role accountabilities:
Support the Area manager as secondary contact for project management of assigned package.
· Liaising with site team, consultants, contractors, suppliers, quantity surveyor and the general workforce
involved in the project.
· Facilitate coordination between design consultants and feedback to Area manager matters that may
require input from the Owner to resolve.
· Track design information, consultant’s progress and their deliverables and report to the Project Managers /
Project Director.
· Provide specific engineering management and coordination, including interfaces between client
requirements, owner’s engineers and contractors, during the entire phase of the project.
· Participate in all phases of project work from conceptual design to post construction field checkout.
· Work collaboratively with the client’s representative like project managers, engineers and other related
parties to capture client requirements that can be translated into clearly defined needs and expected
outcomes.
· Assist on coordination and consolidation of change request form for the project.
· Track design change requests and implement where approved to do so
· Reviews design changes to ensure project remains within budget
· Monitor construction progress facilitate timely response of consultants on contractor submittals.
· Engages with contractor/s to ensure timely and efficient production of shop drawings and material
submission. · Review and screen incoming contractor submission such as shop drawings, RFIs, material samples to ensure that they are suitable for owner / consultant review · Collaborate with AM, PD and Document Control in the setting up of workflows for review and approval of contractor submittals. · Verify the design process recognizes current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate; · Ensures design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales; and to eliminate health and safety risks in the design and financial risks during construction · Assist in preparation of detail scope sheet and program. · Maintain strict adherence to the guidelines, quality and safety standards · Regularly review and inspect ongoing construction work on site · Facilitate and participate in design coordination / troubleshooting on site · Attend coordination meeting as required. · Conduct regular site walks to verify implementation in accordance with design. · Assist in determining optimum design solutions and the assessment of project requirements to address client’s requirements. · Prepares accomplishment reports and updates during the project cycle for submission to immediate superior.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design or related disciplines
· 6+ years’ experience in project management, or the planning and coordination of the projects that
included the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities
· Preferably with experience in hospitality or gaming industry
· Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Aconex
· Excellent communication and project management skills
· Ability to handle multiple task and issues and excellent communication skills
· Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
· High level of commitment and initiative
· Experience in design or construction fields on large scale projects
