Position purpose: The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Belmont University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Sociology, specializing in Criminology. The appointment will begin on August 1, 2025.

responsibilities will include teaching Sociology courses including those in the
department’s criminology emphasis, sociological theory, and general education
courses at all levels. Additional responsibilities include academic advising,
student mentoring, research and scholarly activity, college and university
