Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job The College of Business Administration (COBA) at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Marketing. Duties will include teaching (both face-to-face and on-line) graduate and undergraduate classes in the area of marketing, conducting research and publishing in scholarly journals, and providing services to the department, college, university, and appropriate professional organizations.

While course assignments will be based on departmental needs, we are particularly seeking applicants with an interest and competency in digital marketing and marketing analytics. We seek individuals who are excellent teachers and who can bring experience-based credibility to the classroom while also advancing the increasing research reputation of the department and the college. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to qualify as Scholarly Academic under AACSB standards (as defined by SHSU’s COBA) and show evidence of ability to maintain that qualification. Educational Requirements for the Position PhD in Marketing from an AACSB accredited university; ABD considered. Experience Required for the Position Candidate must have classroom experience. Industry experience is a plus. Other Requirements for the Position The appointee will typically teach 9 credit hours per semester, engage in research, and support the college and university through service.
