Assistant Professor of Energy and Mechanical Engineering Technology, beginning Fall 2025 (Appointment-Stream)

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford is currently seeking a Full-Time Assistant Professor of Energy and Mechanical Engineering Technology (Appointment-Stream) in the Division of Physical Computational Sciences, beginning Fall 2025.

Requirements: Ph.D. or ABD (with expected completion by August 1, 2025) in Energy, Mechatronic, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or closely related field, with a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates. Scholarship, advising, and service activities are required. Experience teaching at the university or collegiate level is required; relevant work experience and three to five years of university level teaching experience are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities: Applicants must be able to teach 12 credits per semester in Engineering at the undergraduate level. Applicants for this position must be able to teach classes offered by Pitt-Bradford’s four-year Mechanical Engineering Technology and Energy Engineering Technology programs and the two-year engineering transfer programs. Expertise in advanced manufacturing/additive manufacturing or interdisciplinary engineering is a plus. Courses to be taught may include Intro. to Engineering Analysis, Intro. to Engineering Computing, Linear Circuits and Systems, Sensors and Automation, Digital Logic, Technical Calculus, and Differential Equations. Candidates experienced in working with college students from diverse backgrounds and with applied experience in the field of expertise are encouraged to apply.
