Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology
Statement of the job: The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) seeks a qualified individual to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position within its Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP) with an emphasis in the Creative Arts program, commencing Fall 2025. Teaching responsibilities typically encompass twelve (12) credits per semester, which includes teaching on Fridays and Saturdays. This full-time, academic-year appointment entails: + Instruction and Mentorship: Delivering graduate-level coursework across diverse modalities (in-person, online, hybrid) with a strong emphasis on practical skill development. Pay and Benefits: The Assistant Professor position offers a competitive salary of $57,806 per year, along with a significant employer contribution of 10% towards retirement savings. Required Qualifications: + Earned doctorate (PsyD or PhD) by position start date + Licensed in the State of Maine as an LCPC, LMFT, and/or Psychologist + Must have clinically practiced as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and/or Psychologist for at least five (5) years, with no more than two (2) years of practice as a conditionally licensed clinician + Ability to work Fridays and Saturdays Preferred Qualifications: + Current practice in a therapeutic or clinical role requiring Maine LCPC licensure + Experience clinically supervising master-level students in the field or supervision of employees + Post-secondary teaching across different modalities such as online and hybrid instruction + Experience working with students in the field or field supervision How to apply: Materials must be submitted via the "Apply Now" below.
