Essential functions (job duties): Wayne State University has an available position of Assistant Professor of Anthropology & Public Health in Detroit, MI. Teach undergraduate & graduate courses in Anthropology & Public Health including Global Health (ANT 3410, cross-listed with Public Health, PH 3410); Understanding Africa (ANT 3520); Intro to Biological Anthropology (ANT 2110); Anthropology of Health & Illness (ANT 5400); Anthropological Methods (ANT 5210); & Biology & Culture (ANT 5140). Advise students. Conduct research in biocultural anthropology, specifically, infrastructure in biocultural anthropology & environmental stress. Publish results of research in peer-reviewed journals & present results at professional conferences. Seek funding for research. Qualifications: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Anthropology & 9 months of postdoctoral university teaching experience. Ph.D. dissertation in biocultural anthropology.
