Assistant Professor, Classical Voice

The School of Music in the College of Music and Performing Arts at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Classical Voice at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2025.

Primary responsibilities include teaching lessons and seminars in applied classical voice. Secondary responsibilities may include teaching courses in diction, song literature, opera history, or other areas based on the candidate’s expertise. Other responsibilities may include academic advising, engagement in scholarly/creative endeavors, student recruitment, and department, college, and university service. Candidates will be engaging teacher-artists with expertise in current vocal pedagogical principles, performance practice, literature, languages, and developments in the field. In addition, the successful applicant will enjoy working in a campus climate that promotes a Christ-centered environment and collegial atmosphere. An earned terminal degree in voice or related field is required; previous teaching at the collegiate level is preferred. ABD candidates considered pending successful completion of terminal degree by job start date.
