Let’s define tomorrow together. **Job overview and responsibilities** Associate Product Owner in IT, supports the product/application development cycle with a focus on understanding airline operations. Assisting in developing functionality by learning about specific business functions and their associated dependencies. Communicating effectively with business users, technology teams, and leadership in an Agile environment. Assisting in the creation of detailed requirements in the form of user stories, supporting the Agile development and testing teams from start to finish. Helping to build vision and create roadmaps based on business priorities, and tracking the progress of product work. Gaining knowledge of system design architecture to support discussions on updates to technical components. Learning about Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps, and Quality Assurance processes to contribute to successful product development. + Assisting in the creation of detailed requirements in the form of user stories, supporting the Agile development and testing teams from start to finish + Supports the management of a story backlog to ensure readiness of user stories for the upcoming sprint and creates acceptance criteria that is clear, concise and actionable + Contributes to overall definition of strategy and scope, including working with business collaborators to understand ‘why’ we are working on something before development begins + Works with Product Owners to ensure that business requirements are translated into accurate, actionable user stories. Works with User Experience (UX) analysts to ensure prototypes convey story intent + Works with Dev and QA to understand the boundaries of any given story + Finds opportunities for improvement across product, process and team + Analyzes data to ensure features are aligned with product goals/objectives and delivering the most business value + Provide project support during release and implementation periods United Airlines is an equal opportunity employer. United Airlines recruits, employs, trains, compensates, and promotes regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, age, veteran status, and other protected status as required by applicable law. **Qualifications** **Qualifications - External** **Required** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Systems Integration or relevant filed is required + 3+ years of related experience or successful completion of United DT Early Career Digital Leadership Program (ECDLP) + 0-3 years digital experience required + At least 3 years of experience in Project Management to have capability to ensure the completeness of a task in a timely manner as well as within the budget. + To become successful in this role, you must have at least 3 years of experience/exposure to any of these skills: + Software Development (SDLC, programming languages architecture, etc.) + Designing & Coding knowledge with tools and applications + User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design + Stories of the user (creation and administration) + Agile & Scrum Knowledge + Business/System requirements + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship **Preferred** + Related certifications are a plus + 0-3 Agile/Scrum experience preferred + 0-3 years in business analyst role preferred + Certifications are plus + Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), programming languages, or system architecture are plus + Prior Experience in Airport Operations The base pay range for this role is $87,780.00 to $119,680.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
